What's Happening... Important Dates
Wow, trimester one flew by! Students did a fantastic job, and I am very proud of how well they did! Keep up the great work!
Our 5th grade travels begin! Our first stop is Mesopotamia! During our stay in Mesopotamia, we will learn about the development of the earliest civilizations. We will discuss what contributions these civilizations made not only to Mesopotamian civilization, but all civilizations that followed. We will discuss the first system of writing, and Hammurabi's code of law. Students will become scribes and try their hands at cuneiform.

Wow! I am overwhelmed at the amazing response I’ve gotten from the Love for Lurie’s Toy Drive! A huge thank you to all the students and families who generously donated. We collected over 1,000 items for the patients of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
It was heartwarming to see the kids so excited to help children in need. I could not be prouder of them, and the kindness and generosity they displayed. I know these donations will bring smiles to the faces of many patients and their families.
Again, I am extremely grateful for each and every donation!
